It’s his go-to after a hard night shift at work to unwind and blast some fools. He plays on PS4 and sank an incredible amount of time into one tank and one commander, where his build was so optimized that he was able to comfortably stand his ground against a good amount of people.
Today he told me he played one game where he was perched on top of a hill and was able to get the final hit on 4 different tanks in a row without missing. He was reveling about how he had never done something like that before and he was so excited about it.
And then he told me the players on the other team thought he was using an aimbot on his first generation PS4. He was subsequently suspended for a week from the game. He had no idea what an aimbot even was so I had to explain it to him. This would have been fine and dandy and whatnot if not for the fact that the suspension resulted in his tank and commander being taken away from him. Any upgrade he had for his commander was gone with her. All the research he poured into his tank? poof
I wouldn’t be making this post if my dad was more of a casual WoT player. My dad isn’t a whale and doesn’t purchase gold to speed things up, and was genuinely upset about his loss of progress.
And so here I offer a wisdom: Just because someone was in the right place at the right time when you were not doesn’t mean they were cheating.
If there is anything I can do to help my dad get his stuff back, please let me know. I’m not a part of this community and just want to help my dad out.
TLDR: Dad lost his tank and commander because he was in the right place at the right time and people are meanieheads.
