I know that the BP year is ending and the tokens will be wiped after this BP. Historically, when this happens, does WG remove tanks from the token store?

Asking because I want the cobra but I am likely not going to have enough tokens to get it, if I don;t purchase/grind this BP. Trying to decide if I “have” to or I can just wait for next year.
