Should it be played as a medium support tank?

I checked the upgraded turret on tanks.gg and it seems to be better than the stock for peaking on ridges. Reminds me of the old playstyle of the old Caernarvon from the UK tech tree before weegee completely changed Caernarvon’s play style.
